We hope you are all keeping well and enjoying returning to school, college or work after the holidays. It is strange how the weather always improves when the schools go back. For those of you who are suffering illness, anxiety, bereavement or are in hospital, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
JAM CLUB has made a great start this term with lots of fun activities in the Village Hall. October’s meeting will focus on Gideon. This club is open to all 4-13 year olds. Find out more by contacting Liz Nunn 01778 590861.
HARVEST FESTIVAL: Come and join the celebration service, which includes auction of your produce and preserves which you can bring to service or on Saturday morning. A light soup lunch will be served in the village hall after the service.

WORKS: The building work on the church roof has now been completed. We await a really heavy thunderstorm to test it out. If you see various people digging in the grave yard don’t be alarmed. The cremation memorial area besides the west wall is now being given a much needed overhaul by members of the church. Dog walkers, we love you walking through the grave yard but please don’t let your dogs foul it.
CHURCHYARD CLEANUP will take place in October and we welcome all adults and accompanied children to come and lend a hand. It’s a good way of getting to know everyone.
DECORATING CHURCH for harvest will take place 9.30 Saturday 9th October.
Everyone welcome, please bring flowers, foliage and produce to make your church beautiful. Refreshments will be served.
CALENDARS will be long kitchen style and feature favourite photos from the village competition. Contact paulinecrampin@gmail.com to order one, priced around £8.
UPCOMING NEWS: we will be organising a Nativity Trail around the village provid-ing outdoor fun for all the family. Watch this space.
