CHURCH CLEANERS AND FLOWER ARRANGERS FOR NOVEMBER

CHURCH FLOWERS 7th Ms S. Flint

14th and 21st Mrs J. Skeaping

CHURCH CLEANER Mrs N. Howells

A big thank you to all those who helped to make the harvest celebrations so successful, I am sure everyone enjoyed themselves. The £500 raised from the auction and lunch will go to the local food bank to help those in need. For those of you who are suffering illness, anxiety, bereavement or are in hospital, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Once again the church was beautifully decorated for Harvest Festival. Very many thanks to all who gave large bunches of autumnal garden flowers, those who gave of their time producing some most attractive floral displays and to all who gave a wide variety of seasonal produce for the auction. All very much appreciated.

The great work of JAM CLUB has been recognised, not only within our Diocese of Peterborough but Lambeth Palace too! Sharon represented the team in a C of E Dis-cipleship and Evangelism Webinar for rural communities. It was a great opportunity to share how God has been working in our church, and that children are a key part of the Church family in our benefice. JAM Club is held in Carlby Village Hall 10.30 – 11.30 on the first Sunday of each month. It is open to all children aged 4-13yrs. For more information please contact Liz Nunn 01778 590861.

Thank you to all those who helped with the recent churchyard clean-up.

Dog walkers- we love you walking through the grave yard but please don’t let your dogs foul it.

After 4 years of waiting to gain permission from Peterborough Diocese to have mains water laid and to build a toilet in the church, we are cautiously optimistic!

CALENDARS will be long kitchen style and feature favourite photos from the village competition. Please contact paulinecrampin@gmail.com to order one priced around £8. Profits will go to the building fund.

UPCOMING NEWS: We will be organising a Nativity Trail around the village

providing outdoor fun for all the family. Watch this space.

We hope to organise carol singing outside during the December village event.
