MAY COUNTRYSIDE EXCURSION- An opportunity to share our beautiful countryside, thank God for it and actually enhance it with tree planting.
For the past few years St Stephen’s has organised a village Rogation walk stopping at six locations for reflection, thanksgiving and prayer for the well-being of our community. What better than May when we reach a fantastic springtime peak. So at 10.30am on Sunday 9th May we will meet outside the Church porch for coffee and nibbles, socially distanced, and then about 10.45 we head out south and west!
We pause at 6 different posts around the village when different families will lead us in reflection and prayer. On each occasion in the past we have sought to add to the environment by way of a significant tree or trees. Oaks, hornbeam and elm have
featured. This year we have a superb oak and two limes to increase diversity and need your help to plant them. We invite you to join us – posh clothes not allowed
This month the churches will be open for non-singing services. Please wear masks, follow social distancing, and use sanitisers. We will also, where possible, continue sharing with Ryhall services on Zoom. Contact Rosie Nelson at 01778 590238 for link

REPAIRS: We are now replacing roofs on the south aisle and porch. This is much more costly than the north roof as Collyweston slates are so expensive. Fortunately we have enough money in reserves for these repair but it will certainly mean we will be short when we eventually obtain permission to have the water and toilet installed. So watch this space for fund raising activities.
