Our plans for the Platinum Jubilee Celebration: 

Friday 3rd June 11am 

Grand opening of the Village History Exhibition and Flower Display 

An exhibition of photos of the past 70 years of life in Carlby , together with display panels explaining features of our lovely Grade 1 12th Century Parish Church accompanied by arrangements of beautiful summer flowers. The Church will be open from 11am – 6pm Friday and 10am – 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. 

Saturday 4th June 2pm – 4.30pm 

Garden Party at The Old Rectory Garden by kind invitation of Mr and Mrs P Cannon. Free garden entrance ,Tea, cakes and Pimms stall. There will also be a Flower stall, book stall, cake stall, tombola and old fashioned games. Featuring Music by two Bourne Grammar School Bands led by their Musical Director, Mark Tomlinson. 

No charge for entrance ,tea, cake and games but MONEY DONATIONS will be sent to the Stamford Food Bank and a Ukrainian Relief fund. 

Please leave DONATIONS of books, cakes, stuff for tombola in the church porch the week beginning Sunday 29th May. It will be safely collected up for Saturday 

Platinum Jubilee Thanksgiving Service led by the village, for all the village, young and old, to celebrate the Queen’s service to our country. Another chance to see the church displays. All children welcome to the service as there will not be JAM CLUB this month. Contact Liz Nunn tel 590861. 

FLOWERS we would love you to come and help decorate the church for the jubilee around 9.30am Thursday 2nd June. 

SATURDAY 25TH JUNE Church yard clean-up for all willing workers to smarten up grounds for a wedding!

June 12th 8 am Quiet Prayer, 10.30am All Age Service 

June 19th 10.30 Benefice Holy Communion at Essendine 

After a very cheerful Rogation walk in glorious weather, we enjoyed lunch together in the Village Hall and over £100 will be sent to Stamford Food Bank .
