St Stephen’s Church Carlby – Jan 2021

CHURCH FLOWERS No flowers during Advent

Christmas Day – Mrs R Nelson

I hope you and your families had a jolly but safe Christmas, and found different ways to celebrate and have fun. It was so lovely to see all the effort people had gone to cheer us up with their lit up gardens and window decorations.

We wish everyone a safe and happy New Year and look forward to seeing more of you.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported and got involved with St.Stephen’s in this difficult year. We have found it difficult to follow the rules by keeping your church locked at such a time when people need us. Let us hope we can return to being a church that is open to all in the village who need us.

In the meantime the building still needs care and attention with the north roof needing replacing and the new toilet plans rumble on very slowly but surely.

Services are limited so it is helpful if families sit close together and leave big gaps between others as social distancing is in place with masks being worn. The zoom link is available from Rev.Jo’s email if you prefer to join in at home online.

We have changed the order of services with Jam Club being on the 1st Sunday and all age family service on 2nd Sunday of the month.

SUNDAY 3rd January 10 .30 am on Zoom JAM CLUB from Carlby

SUNDAY 10th January 10.30am All age Family Service at St.Stephen’s Church Sorry No coffee and cakes, don’t forget your mask.
