I am sorry, I forgot to add a correction from last month that we raised £515 not £300 from the harvest auction and donations from honey sales 

December is a time for preparation for the great celebration of the birth of Jesus. This shouldn’t be a stressful time or overly expensive if people give token gifts and spread out the shopping of those special luxury items. In all the rush spare time to come to church, to rejuvenate yourself and consider the real meaning of Christmas. 

Please make good use of the SHARING BOX in the church porch. We want to reach out to everyone in the village; you don’t need to come to church to use the box. Any fresh produce can be left alongside and we will remove if not used. If there is no local take up it will go to Stamford food bank. We are pleased that it is beginning to be used so please spread the word to everybody. 

We are now able to keep the church open all Sunday. 

Jam Club is on the first Sunday of the month in village Hall. Contact Paul on tel 590052 

CARLBY SERVICES 

4th December 8 am Reflective Prayer 10.30am J AM CLUB Village Hall. 

11th December 10.30am All Age Worship, all welcome 

18th December 4.30 pm Family Carol Service 

25th December 10.30 am Christmas Day All Age Service (no communion) 

1st January no services but a walk around the Essendine Loop 

ACTION 

Please join in the decorating of the church with flowers on FRIDAY16th December at 9.30 onwards. Children, accompanied, are welcome to come and add their bit and decorate the tree on Saturday morning after 9.30 am. 

Come to the village WINTER FAIR on 3rd December to spend or donate ,but most of all to have fun and meet the village. 

Please make an effort straight after the WORLD CUP,18th December to come to the Carol Service in Carlby Church, at 4.30pm. 

Look out for the date of the long awaited CARLBY SAFARI SUPPER.
