Greetings to you all from St Mary Magdalene’s Church. 

I hope you are all well and enjoyed the Summer holidays. On the farm, 

harvest is hopefully nearly finished and the new drilling has already started. It always amazes me how quickly the farming calendar moves on from combining the fields to planting the new crops. It has been a challenging harvest with the weather this year. 

Our thoughts and prayers this month go to everyone starting a new term, from the first days at Nursery or Primary school, to those off to start their first adventure away from home at College or University; we wish you all every success and happiness. 

To all those who are ill at home or in hospital our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. 

FAMILY SERVICE: Sunday 5th September at 10.00am This is an all-age service of Morning Prayer for the Benefice led by Katy and Anne. Everyone is very welcome. Refreshments will be served after the service 

HOLY COMMUNION : A service of Holy Communion will take place at St Mary’s Church on Sundays 12th & 26th September 2021 at 9.00am. 

Everyone is very welcome to attend. 

RUTLAND RIDE AND STRIDE: Saturday 11th September www.rhcpt.co.uk/rutland-ride-and-stride.html 

A fun way to visit local churches and raise money for them. 

ESSENDINE CHURCH OPEN DAY: Saturday 11th September 10-4pm. You are warmly invited to visit your local church and learn a little about the history of the village. Refreshments will be available. We look forward to seeing you.
