Greetings to you all from St Mary Magdalene’s Church.
I hope you are all keeping well and warm as the cold weather arrives. It is lovely to light our wood burner, although it is easy to then sit by the fire all evening and not get on with jobs! On the farm we are continuing to plant the new crops. I’m still tidying up the garden for the Winter. As I write some of my summer pots are still in flower.
Our thoughts and prayers this month go to everyone in the armed forces and the peacemakers around the world. We also pray for all the NHS staff as they deal with the very difficult winter season to come.
To all those who are ill at home or in hospital our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.
HARVEST FESTIVAL FAMILY SERVICE: Many thanks to everyone who attended the Harvest Festival and for the beautiful flower arrangements and displays of fruit and vegetables. I was unable to attend but would like to thank my church family for stepping in and doing a wonderful job.
CHURCHYARD GRASS CUTTING: Special thanks go to Darren and Ryan for doing a fantastic job keeping St Mary’s Churchyard looking so tidy. Thanks also to Anthony Carr for keeping the Church car park grass cut for us. I am sure you will agree that our beautiful little church is well looked after.
