Greetings to you all from St Mary Magdalene’s Church.
I hope you are all keeping well and warm as the cold weather arrives. It is lovely to light our wood-burner although it is easy to then sit by the fire all evening and not get on with jobs! On the farm we are continuing to plant the new crops. The linseed is all growing; we are looking forward to seeing the beautiful flowering fields next year. I’m still tidying up the garden for the Winter. As I write some of my summer pots are still in flower.
Our thoughts and prayers this month are with everyone in the armed forces and the peacemakers around the world. We also pray for all the NHS staff as they deal with the very difficult winter season to come. To all those who are ill at home or in hospital our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.
HARVEST FESTIVAL SERVICE: Many thanks go to everyone who at- tended the Harvest Festival at Church Farm. Thanks to Andy and Fi Beamish we were able to hold a service in one of their beautiful marquees. it was lovely to be able to hold on to the tradition of Harvest Festival in our village.
FLOWER ROTA 2020: We have currently suspended the flower rota due to Covid 19 as we have to keep the church locked during the week. We are simply putting some flowers in the church window.
