Greetings from St Mary Magdalene’s Church, Essendine.
I hope you are all keeping well and managing to stay warm and dry. As I write, the cold frosty mornings have returned. How uplifting to see blue skies and sunshine. It is good to see signs of Spring in the gardens and country- side. It is a lovely sight to see new lambs dancing in the fields. During this month, we continue our journey through Lent, a time of reflection,
towards the celebration of Easter which falls on Sunday 9th April. A warm welcome awaits at St Mary’s Church, the church doors are open daily so do take a moment to look inside our beautiful church.
To all those who are ill at home or in hospital our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
We pray this month for all those involved in the earthquake disaster in Turkey and Syria and the people of Ukraine. Amidst the death and destruction, we give thanks for the kindness, love and support of families, friends, neighbours, and strangers that shines through the darkness.
