St. Mary Magdalene’s Church, Essendine – Jan 2022

A Happy New Year to you all and a huge thank you to everyone who has supported and visited St Mary Magdalene’s Church during 2021. I hope you are all keeping well and managed to enjoy a wonderful Christmas.

A special thanks goes to Revd Jo Saunders and Revd Fiona Ogg for all their hard work leading services at Essendine and to all the people who work hard behind the scenes to support our Village Church. It’s been a difficult year but hopefully things will begin to return to normal during 2022.

With give thanks for all the emergency workers who have worked so hard over the Christmas period and for all the volunteers who work throughout Rutland supporting the homeless.

We have had an eventful year for 2021 recovering from the Christmas Eve floods. Many thanks to all the volunteers who have worked hard throughout the year to get the church up and running again.

The Essendine Village Trust fund have kindly contributed towards the cost of new carpets in the church.

Please keep warm and be careful in this cold weather and look out for your friends and neighbours.

To all those who are ill at home or in hospital our thoughts and prayers are with you.
