Greetings to you all from St Mary Magdalene’s Church
I hope you are all well and enjoying the summer holidays. As I write we are all melting in the heat. On the farm, like so many others, we are busy with the harvest. It is a wonderful sight watching the Combines working in the fields. We waved the combine out on the 8th July and look forward to waving it back in when all the barley, rape, wheat, oats and beans are all harvested, many hours of work to be completed.
This month we celebrate a Wedding Blessing at Essendine, we wish all the couples getting married a wonderful day and a very happy future together.
To all those who are ill at home or in hospital our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.
This month we say goodbye to Revd Jo Saunders after 3 years’ service in this parish as our priest in charge and many years supporting our church.
I would like to thank Jo for all her work in this parish and wish her well in her retirement and every happiness and better health in the future.
