Greetings to you all from St Mary Magdalene’s Church 

I hope you are all well and enjoying the Summer holidays. On the farm, like so many others, we are busy with the harvest. It is a wonderful sight watching the Combines working in the fields. 

We have a wedding at our dear little church this month. We wish everyone getting married this month much joy and happiness. 

To all those who are ill at home or in hospital our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. 

We very much hope that with the lifting of covid restrictions we will be able to open the church doors daily once again . You will be most welcome to visit this beautiful corner of Essendine. 

FAMILY SERVICE: Sunday 1st August at 10.00am. This is an all age service of Morning Prayer lead by Katy and Anne. Everyone is very welcome. Refreshments will be served after the service. 

HOLY COMMUNION: A service of Holy Communion will take place at St Mary’s Church on 8th & 22nd August at 9.00am. Everyone is very welcome. 

Date for your diary; Rutland Ride and Stride will be coming to Essendine Church on Saturday 11th September – a great way to vis it all the churches in Rutland. Please join in and help raise money for the Rutland Historic Churches Preservation Trust. We will also be having an Open Day on Saturday 11th September. We look forward to seeing you then.
