St. John’s Restoration & Renewal Plan Update – Sept 2021

I hope you have enjoyed your summer. What a wonderful day we had for the

Ryhall Village Fete on 17th July. The weather was beautiful, crowds of people came for a day out and the buzz continued all afternoon. So many people complimented the wide array of goods, plants, games, books, cakes, food & drink and entertain-ment. The classic cars and fly by were also much appreciated. Proceeds go to

Ryhall charities including St. John’s Church so thank you to all who came and all who made the event such a success. A special thanks to Janine & Nick for hosting the event in the lovely grounds of Ryhall Hall especially in the run up to their wed-ding. Congratulations and thanks to you both!

We hope to hear soon from Rutland CC Planning on the application for approval to change the worn-out lead roof with a new steel roof. This decision will determine our next steps so we will keep you posted. For now, we pray for the right outcome.

This original painting of the church in spring, kindly donated by local artist Josette Carroll, is the prize in a new PCC lottery. Please contact thesandrachapman@gmail.com if you would like one or more tickets at £5 each. But hurry, the draw will take place on 5th September 2021.

The Churchyard Champion volunteers have continued to meet monthly over the summer months to take care of the grounds surrounding the church. Please stop by and stay awhile in this beautiful place, there for everyone to enjoy. If you would like to join a future session of this friendly group, we next meet on

September 18th, 10-12 All very welcome.
