December promises to be an exciting time for restoration at St. John’s. We are hopeful the building works for the roof replacement will be underway before the end of this year. Fund-raising, grant applications and community engagement on the restoration project started in March 2020. We are delighted that approvals are now in place and the money has been pledged or secured to cover the estimated costs of the roof work. This community has been wonderfully supportive getting involved in the fund-raising events, sending donations, praying, writing letters of support, volunteering and with many words of encouragement when it looked like this might not happen for a long time. Thank you to everyone who has helped in any way.
