St. John’s Restoration & Renewal Plan Update – Aug 2021

We were delighted to welcome some new faces at our family-friendly Thanksgiving Service on 11th July when we reflected on the impact of the pandemic and God’s message of hope. Thank you to all those who helped to make it a special occasion.

Thanks to Karen & Steve Bourne of Home Farm in Ryhall for kindly offering their garden as a venue for fundraising through their NGS Open Garden Day and again for the performance of Shakespeare’s, ‘All’s Well that Ends Well’ in support of St. John’s Church.

As I write this, we are just about to have Ryhall Village fete. Great to see it back after missing a year due to the pandemic. Thanks again for the many volunteers who make the day possible, to Janine for hosting the fete in the grounds of Ryhall Hall and to all those who come along in support of village charities including St. John’s Church.

This original painting of the church in spring, kindly donated by local artist

Josette Carroll, is the prize in a new PCC lottery. Please contact thesandrachapman@gmail.com if you would like one or more tickets at £5 each. The draw will take place on 5th September 2021.

The Churchyard Champion volunteers have continued to meet monthly over the summer months to take care of the grounds surrounding the church. Please stop by and stay awhile in this beautiful place, there for everyone to enjoy. If you would like to join a future session, we next meet on July 31st and Aug 21st from 10am. All very welcome.
