On the Feast of Epiphany our school children celebrated the time when the wise men visited baby Jesus and God’s son was revealed to the whole world in a special service.

We heard readings from the prophet Isaiah and from Matthew’s gospel about the wise men following the star, and their
encounter with King Herod. Some Year 3
children brought up the gifts to lay in front of

the manger while we sang the traditional carol, We Three Kings.

We finished with some prayers and a bless- ing from Rev Jo.

Later this term we have another important Christian celebration – Candlemas.
