We often hear about unleavened bread in the bible. Here is an easy recipe for it
2 cups Whole Wheat Flour hard white or spelt
¾ cup Cold Water
2 tablespoons Organic Olive Oil
1 teaspoon Salt
Preheat oven 450°F (260°C).
Combine all ingredients with the water to form dough and knead for 3 minutes.
Divide into 8 balls. Flatten each into a thin round and prick with a fork.
Bake on a greased sheet for 10 minutes in oven
… and with your unleavened bread you could eat Olive Tapenade
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 lemon, juice only
3 tbsp capers, chopped
250g/9oz black olives, pitted
small bunch fresh parsley, chopped
salt and freshly ground black pepper
2-4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Simply mix all the ingredients together, adding enough olive oil to form a paste.
