Planning. New applications received since last meeting. 

a) 2022/0123/FUL Proposed single storey rear extension, installation of dormer windows and external alterations. Walnut Cottage, Gwash Valley Farm, 3 Great Casterton Road, PE9 4EZ 

b) 2022/0142/FUL Proposed Single storey rear/side extension. 1 Flint Close, PE9 4JS 

Mallard Pass Solar Farm. 

Clerk reported at the EIA Scoping Notification and Consultation had been submitted by Mallard Pass Solar Farms to the Planning Inspectorate and a copy of the document was now available online. 

It was noted that a similar sized proposal was being considered near Swaff-ham, in Norfolk and another smaller site between Bourne and Thurlby. 

Mallard Pass Action group : Will be holding another meeting Thursday 24 February at 8pm in Greatford Village Hall. They would like people to let them know if they wish to attend. 

School Travel Ambassador Initiative & 20 mph scheme. Cllr Davis had no further update. He proposed to defer temporarily pursuing this issue until schools are more back to normal with staffing and reduced covid cases. 

Village Clock Maintenance Time keeping maintenance of Village clock. It has been confirmed that Simon Fenn is training up his son to be the 5th generation of the family to continue to maintain the village clock.. A further one year contract for the continuation of the Clock service contract with Smith of Derby was agreed 

Ryhall Meadows Playing Fields. A discussion took place as to whether a gate was the answer to the parking problems being experience on the grass area at the end of the gravel car park. RPC’s priority is the safety of the chil-dren and adults. 

Correspondence – was noted from the agenda 

a) Resident’s letter regarding parking and dog fouling was read out. 

Open Forum 

i) A member of the public reported problems with dog fouling around the vil-lage. 

ii) A member of the public asked again for the electrification of the village clock to be considered. 

Dates of Meetings for 2022 

Monday March 21st 2022 – Annual Parish Meeting and ordinary meeting held in the Village Hall at 7pm 

April Meeting date and venue to be confirmed 

Monday May 16th 2022 – Annual Council Meeting held in the Village Hall at 7.00 pm 

Village Hall venue : 20 Jun, 25 Jul, 15 Aug, 19 Sept and 21 Nov. 

A Reminder to Car Owners – Rule 244 of the highway code states 

Parking on the pavement can obstruct and seriously inconvenience pe-destrians, people in wheelchairs or with visual impairments and people with prams or pushchairs. 

Please always park with consideration to other users of the highways and pathways and do not block pavements for other users
