CARLBY PARISH COUNCIL have purchased 3 new bins with the SKDC logo on, to replace old degraded bins original place at strategic positions.

The Parish Council have a written agreement from the waste management team/Assistant Director of Operations and Public Protection, that the village have 5 Serviced Bins, which means the bins will be emptied and the internal black plastic bag replaced at times to suit the waste management team. If a bin is overflowing a notification will be given. It is noted that the 5 bins will not fill at the same rate.

Positions of the Bins in Carlby Village

1. The Stamford Bus shelter A6121

2. The Bourne Bus shelter A6121

3. The Playing Field entrance, end of The Avenue PE9 4NA

4. The Village Hall, High Street PE9 4LX

5. The BT phone box PE9 4LX. Less than 45 meters from the Village hall bin. The telephone box is no longer in existence, this bin has been relocated to the West of the Farriers Way junction with High Street PE9 4LX The relocation of the 5th bin was the conclusion of a study around the vil-lage for suitable positions in consideration of the fledgling policy now developed by SKDC. There were identified many more useful positions for modern day litter retention yet did not conform to the policy. In conclusions, like all the locations they are accessible to disabled wheel chair users and mobility scooters, and have safe parking adjacent to the bins for the preser-vation of the waste management team during collections and replenishment. All 5 bins are in their positions and being used as from 28th July 2022

The bins accept general rubbish and also dog waste. We urge all dog own-ers to clean up after them on all footpaths around the village and the playing field area, there has been an increase in this not being the case.
