News from the Village of Belmesthorpe – Sept 2021

As many will have noticed, RYHALL LIBRARY has now resumed normal service.

Opening hours are from 9.00 am – 5.00 pm with a half hour break from 1.00 – 1.30 pm on Mondays and Thursdays, and from 9.00 am – 1.00 pm on Saturdays. Please note the earlier starting and closing times on weekdays.

Coronavirus precautions are optional, but visitors are encouraged to wear face-masks and to use the hand-sanitisers provided.

Open House, which was before the pandemic opening up the library on Tuesday and Friday afternoons, has been given permission to resume, and we hope to reopen in October, possibly earlier, depending on numbers of volunteers available. An announcement will be made in the October issue.

Library users will have noticed the shabby condition of the paintwork and staining on the exterior of the building. We have been in negotiations for some time with Rutland County Council about appropriate maintenance measures, and we are hopeful of having the work done before the winter months arrive.
