KNITTING FOR THE NEEDY – ANY WOOL GOING SPARE?

As the coronavirus pandemic continues, knitting has been a welcome pastime especially during lockdown.

The group of local knitters, led by Dorothy Dolby of Belmesthorpe, continue to support the charity, Knit For Peace and find it very satisfying to know their knitting will be distributed to various people in need such as refugees, the homeless and those in hospitals, care homes and hospices.

Knitted items are starting to build up again and the next delivery will hopefully be made to the Headquarters in London in coming months.

Donations of wool are always very much appreciated to help the knitters produce the goods. If anyone has any they can spare, (perhaps you are having a sort out whilst spring cleaning) please call Mrs Dolby on 01780 754321. Thank you.
