Mallard Pass Solar Farm – Jan 2023

Happy New Year to you all.

The solar farm application is now in with the Planning Inspectorate and by the time you receive this newsletter, should also have been accepted for onward examination. Mallard Pass, the developer, has marked their own homework so far with the 2 consultations, so now is the time for you to have your say with the Planning Inspectorate. You will need to register as an ‘Interested Party’ on the Planning Inspectorate website under Mallard Pass (just google ‘Planning Inspectorate Mallard Pass’ and enter). If there are no instructions then just sign up for email updates and you will be advised what to do when they open the registration.

The action group will be sending a leaflet around this month to give guidance and instructions on how to sign up and what kind of information is needed for your ‘Relevant Representation’. We will also be updating the website to advise on the scheme changes. Please be mindful any response you give to the Planning Inspec- torate must relate to the final application, not an earlier stage in the process. Once you are registered you can contribute as much or as little as you like throughout the Examination process.

Our fundraising for legal and expert evidence has gone well, thank you to everyone that has generously donated. However we have not reached the £15K target yet and still need help if we are to commission specialist reports to accompany the arguments our barrister will put forward. Please if you can donate, it really will be crucial in determining our scope for success. The different ways to donate can be found on our website www.mallardpassactiongroup.com. Thank you.
